Commissions: All brokerage commissions are not set by law and are fully negotiable. That means every brokerage has different commissions and fees, even on the same services. We offer a simple solution to raising your returns on transactions and shortening the time on market, lowering the commission. And usually, a lower commission translates to a lower listing price, which is one of the greatest advantages to a seller in our current market. The only people who support high commissions are those who make a living receiving them. The old, “You get what you pay for” is so outdated. If that were true, then you could pay 10% commission and sell your property in a day. What most companies charge has no relation to the costs associated with the specific endeavors to sell your property.
Representation: There are three different forms of representation between licensed real estate professionals in the State of Florida. At Fort Myers Realty, we offer all three, but we prefer acting as a Single Agent or fiduciary. This is the highest form of representation available. The difference between a Single Agent and a Transaction broker, which most other companies offer can be stated in four terms: Obedience, Loyalty, Confidentiality, and Full Disclosure. We put our clients and their goals as paramount.
Relationship: Shawn and Ruth are working directly for each and every client. We have a local office and we live here in Southwest Florida. Shawn has been self employed since 1995.
